Bord 27 is a small family styled restaurant with a determination to serve great food at friendly prices. This eatery is one of the most popular and highly rated restaurants in Gothenburg, so don’t expect to get a table with a short notice, especially not during the weekends.

The seasonal menu offers something for people enjoying both meat-, fish- and vegetarian food. The menu is not having tons of alternatives, but about five different starters, mains and desserts respectively. There are no tasting menus; here most people opt for one starter, one main and one dessert. And you will not go away hungry if you go with this choice.

My choices this dinner:

Starter:

Tartar of beef with soy sauce, crispy, pickled beets, silver onion, potatoes and grated egg yolk

Main:

Beef

Dessert:

Blackberry sorbet with bread pudding, strawberry blackberry, vanilla cream, licorice marmalade and grated raw licorice.

In summary: Restaurant Adler is one of the more popular in Gothenburg and that’s for a good reason; very good food and friendly prices in combination with a cozy and relaxed setting. I was very happy with my meal here and will for sure get back (I have tried a couple of times, but not been able to schedule a table…). As usual, the company is half the pleasure and that was especially true this dinner, when M joined me… Highly recommended!
