Bib Gourmand is what Guide Michelin considers a “Best value restaurant”. In comparison to the Michelin-starred restaurants, were no cost for the meal should be considered, a Bib Gourmand restaurant has the price as an important factor, so even if the restaurant is extremely good but at the same time expensive, the restaurant can not get the Bib Gourmand “attribute”.

We decided to pay a visit to Le Bistro Du Capucin based mainly on its location pretty close to the Geneva airport (from where we had to catch a flight the day after).

The restaurant has two different sections; “Le Gastro” and “Le Bistro” and we opted for the Le Restaurant Gastronomique (“Le Gastro”). This “finer” section of the restaurant definitely has ambitions for a star in the Guide Michelin guide.

We had the tasting menu “Dégustation du Capucin” à 63€ (excluding drinks):

To summarize: high ambitions in a nice setting and with a price tag that is a little higher than what I’m used to in regards to Bib Gourmand restaurants.
